| World Protection Group Security Professionals
World Protection Group (WPG) security professionals provide a wide range of security and contribute experiences and knowledge developed through their diverse backgrounds and training. The majority of WPG's management, supervisors and agents have military and law enforcement experience. All officers, specialist and agents must complete 40 hours of pre-assignment and 8 hours plus on annual refresher training and an extensive criminal background check. In addition, specialist and agents must annual complete physical and psychological testing, including 'high-stress' reality simulations.
Our team of security professionals includes experts in anti-terrorist driving, defensive tactics, and intelligence work. All officers, specialist and agents exceed CA Bureau of Security and Investigative Services (BSIS) and other state screening, registration and training. The training program includes communications, liability and legal aspects, observation and documentation, customer service, access control, crowd and traffic control and many other daily tasks. To provide the appropriate level of security based on vulnerabilities and risks, and to reward and recognize continuous education, WPG security professionals build upon their initial training to increase their knowledge and expertise. These security professionals are divided into three distinct levels for assignments.
Security Officer (SO)
- Uniform officer
- Meets CA state requirements of 40 hours pre-assignment plus 8 hours of annual refreshing training
- CPR
- First-aid / Automated External Deliberator (AED)
- Terrorism awareness and weapons of mass destruction
Security Agent (SA)
- Plain clothes
- Meets CA state requirements of 40 hours pre-assignment plus 8 hours of annual refreshing training
- CPR
- First-aid / Automated External Defibulator (AED)
- Terrorism awareness and weapons of mass destruction
- Majority have military and/or law enforcement experience
- Armed and unarmed
- Baton and pepper spray certification
- BSIS exposed fire arm permit
Executive Protection (EP)
- Plain clothes
- Meets CA state requirements of 40 hours pre-assignment plus 8 hours of annual refreshing training
- CPR
- First-aid / Automated External Defibulator (AED)
- Terrorism awareness and weapons of mass destruction
- Armed and unarmed
- Baton and pepper spray certification
- BSIS exposed fire arm permit
- Certified in Executive Protection from certified executive protection schools
- Executive Security International
- Executive Protection Institute
- California Department of Justice Dignitary Protection School
- US Secret Service Academy
- US Department of Diplomatic Security School
- Majority have military and/or law enforcement experience
- Must pass annual physical fitness test
Our Executive Protection Agents must graduate from an accredited executive protection school, regardless of their background. Our Uniformed Security Officers must undergo 40 hours of training and Security Agents must have 90 hrs. of training. All must undergo advanced training throughout their careers.
